Teaching the subject of History is oftentimes a challenging if not daunting one: challenging because many students equate the study of history with a huge textbook and a lot of memorization and dates; it is a daunting one since I, as a teacher, have to contextualize these past experiences all the while guiding my students into realizing and understanding that History is a dynamic subject that answers many questions and challenges us into thinking of solutions. To answer the challenging aspect of my subject, through mine and the school's effort, I was able to enrich the learning experiences of my students through educational tours in the Philippines and also those outside of the country.
